BLDEA established SBMP PU College to provide quality education at the Pre University level. It offers a two-year PU program under the regulations of the Board of the Pre-University Examination, Karnataka. It has well-qualified and experienced faculty who strive hard to train the students to reach their full potential. The college believes in developing its students into well mannered, well-groomed and independent individuals with high self-esteem and is devoted to providing an educational experience that is the richest, most diverse and most exciting in an atmosphere that provides support, encouragement and care for every student.

The college has excellent infrastructure facilities that match the current education standards. They include well-furnished classrooms and labs, an extensively stocked library and a sports area. The college also provides hostel facilities for students. Transport facilities are available for college students from all parts of Vijayapura.
