Science stream

Core Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics provide the foundation for scientific study and analytical thinking.

Optional Subjects: Biology covers life sciences, while Computer Science focuses on programming and technology.

Commerce stream

Core Subjects: Accountancy, Business Studies, and Economics explore finance, management, and market dynamics.

Optional Subjects: Computer Science emphasizes digital technologies, while Statistics deals with data analysis and probability.

In all, a student studies six subjects (both in 1st and 2nd PUC) comprising English, three core subjects, one optional subject and one language.

From 2012-13, the Pre University Board of Karnataka has revised both Science & Commerce syllabus and upgraded it to the CBSE level by introducing the concept based and user-friendly NCERT textbook and workbook for the Science & Commerce students.
